Eligibility Criteria For IBPS Clerk Exam 2013-14
Degree in any subject is the least educational qualification required for appearing IBPS clerk exam 2013-14. Along with this computer knowledge is another eligibility requirement where there is no need of submitting a separate certificate because computer study is one of the compulsory subject in school level. Proficiency in the local language will be an additional advantage. The lower age limit is 20 years and the upper age limit is 28 years for the clerk recruitment. Reserved candidates get the relaxation in the upper age limit which is shown in the image below.
Eligibility Criteria For IBPS PO/MT Exam 2013-14

For the PO/MT exam also the minimum educational qualification required is a degree in any stream. The lower age limit is 20 years and the upper age limit is slight different from the clerk recruitment, which is 30 years for PO/MT recruitment and reserved candidates get the age relaxation.

The above details is based on the previous IBPS recruitment. From the next recruitment onwards the minimum educational qualification required may change to degree with first class. But till now this is not officially confirmed by IBPS.
Candidates Common Doubts Related To IBPS Exam Eligibility Criteria
- I am doing my final year engineering degree. Am I eligible for appearing IBPS clerk exam ?
It is not possible to apply for IBPS clerk exam before completing the degree. You should first complete the degree and after that you are eligible to apply.
- I am 31 years old and in the SC category. Is there any chance for me to appear in the IBPS PO exam ?
Definitely you are eligible to apply for the PO exam because for SC/ST candidates an age relaxation of 5 years is there in addition to the normal upper age limit of 30 years.
- I passed my b com graduation with 54% marks, I Want know that am I eligible to apply for IBPS PO exam ?
You are eligible to apply as per the eligibility criteria used by the IBPS in the previous examination. This year there may be a chance to change the eligibility criteria such that people with first class in graduation can only able to apply. This is not confirmed as the IBPS does not announce it officially.
